First of all, YKK Corporation has confirmed plans to build a third manufacturing facility under its subsidiary YKK India Private Limited. India has grown into one of the world’s core textile and apparel production hubs, driving surging demand for zippers and garment fasteners. The new plant will be located at Origins by Mahindra in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, complementing two existing YKK factories in Haryana, northern India. This YKK new factory India site will deploy YKK’s cutting-edge manufacturing tech to serve both local domestic buyers and export-oriented apparel manufacturers.
Meanwhile, the upcoming factory delivers dual value for local communities and global textile supply chains. On one hand, it expands local employment and fuels regional economic growth via rooted local operation strategies. On the other hand, it establishes a complete flexible production system to cover diversified fastener product requirements for garment brands across South Asia.

Furthermore, the project carries clear investment and construction parameters:
In addition, YKK India has operated stably in the country for nearly 30 years. Founded on September 26, 1995, the firm’s headquarters sits in New Delhi, with factories in Bawal and multi-city sales offices nationwide. It also runs overseas branches in Nepal, Jordan and Dubai, focused entirely on manufacturing and selling garment fastening products. Jin Deguchi currently serves as the company president, with registered capital of INR 1.48 billion.
To sum up, the YKK new factory India project marks a major milestone for South Asia’s apparel raw material supply chain. Local garment manufacturers will gain faster access to high-quality YKK fasteners, cutting cross-region logistics lead times. The large-scale investment also reflects global hardware suppliers’ long-term confidence in India’s textile export growth potential.
