First of all, YKK rolled out the new YZiP® Light aluminum zipper for cotton pants, available for global sales starting late March. This item expands the classic YZiP® series, originally famous as copper alloy jeans zippers, offering factories more hardware choices for lightweight apparel.

Core Performance Advantages

Specifically, YZiP® Light cuts weight by around 50% vs standard YZiP copper zippers. Compared with regular aluminum zippers, sliding resistance drops 15%, while lateral pull strength rises 26%. It fits thin cotton pants with fabric thickness under 0.6mm that do not require heavy washing treatment.

Exclusive Technology & Color Upgrade

Furthermore, the aluminum slider adopts YKK proprietary pressing molding tech, solving traditional aluminum processing difficulties. It matches the look and function of semi-auto sliders used on copper YZiP zippers. In addition, YKK developed new aluminum coloring craft, adding gold & antique gold beyond basic silver tones.

Sustainable Design & Official Statement

For eco-friendly production, this zipper belongs to NATULON® line with recycled tape. Recycled materials take up 25% weight of a 15cm finished zipper. Terry Tsukumo from YKK Global Sales explained the development logic. The brand balances lightweight performance, texture and sustainability to meet modern garment market demands.
