Nike Twist recycled polyester
First of all, Loop Industries announced a long-term offtake contract with sportswear giant Nike. Nike will act as the core buyer for the under-construction Infinite Loop India plant co-built with Ester Industries in Gujarat. This partnership guarantees stable large-volume supply of Loop’s self-developed Twist polyester resin for Nike’s global product lines.
Meanwhile, Twist circular polyester resin is exclusively produced from waste textiles, replacing traditional virgin polyester and recycled PET flake. Adopting this material helps Nike fully push forward its brand-wide sustainable development goals. Unlike ordinary recycled yarns, Twist maintains the same high quality as brand-new fossil-based polyester.
Furthermore, the Infinite Loop India factory brings outstanding environmental advantages compared with conventional polyester production. After launch, the plant can slash greenhouse gas emissions by 81%, saving up to 418,600 tonnes of CO₂ each year. Loop’s exclusive chemical tracer technology delivers full traceability, proving genuine textile-to-textile recycled content for all Twist-made goods.Nike Twist recycled polyester
In addition, senior managers from both brands spoke highly of this landmark sustainable textile cooperation. Nike’s materials supply chain VP Sitora Muzafarova stated the deal speeds up turning textile waste into premium performance fabrics. Loop Industries CEO Daniel Solomita said Nike’s long-term order proves the market value of verifiable closed-loop polyester solutions.
