PALACE x Ebbets Field Flannels have joined forces to launch a nostalgia‑fueled collaborative capsule, breathing new life into two forgotten chapters of baseball history. First of all, this partnership draws inspiration from two landmark ball clubs — the Negro League’s New York Cubans and Japan’s iconic Sankei Atoms. It digs deep into vintage sports archives, re‑imagining timeless team iconography for today’s street‑style audience.

Meanwhile, the campaign was captured on the bustling streets of New York City by Cuban‑American photographer David Cabrera. Palace pro skater Shawn Powers and a roster of local New‑York creatives star in the shoot, grounding retro‑sport aesthetics within real‑life urban surroundings.

The collection spans baseball jerseys, coach jackets, hoodies and classic ball caps. Every piece is packed with thoughtful archival details. Coach jackets feature jersey‑textured linings, snap closures, drawcords and woven team patches that honour old‑school sportswear craftsmanship.

On one hand, the New York Cubans chapter pays tribute to the Negro League legacy. Stand‑outs include grey wool baseball caps, heavy‑weight fleece hoodies and breathable polyester‑mesh V‑neck jerseys, carrying forward the spirit of this trail‑blazing ball club.
On the other hand, the Sankei Atoms line shifts across continents to Japan. It merges the historic baseball team’s crest with the instantly‑recognisable Astro Boy character. Bright‑toned blue‑and‑red mesh V‑neck jerseys, graphic‑rich hoodies and dual‑tone wool caps anchor this segment.
The playful Astro Boy motif becomes the collection’s signature visual hallmark, setting it apart from typical American‑themed baseball apparel. Overall, this capsule bridges American Negro‑League heritage and mid‑century Japanese baseball culture, weaving two distinct sports histories into contemporary street‑ready wardrobe pieces.
