Morocco textile factory production, industry targets North America export market growth
First of all, Tactical Tactics and CTTH signed a cooperation agreement on May 5 in Casablanca. The cooperation helps Moroccan garment factories shift from basic CMT subcontracting to finished goods for North American buyers. It combines CTTH’s textile technical support with Tactical Tactics’ mature North American sales channels.
Meanwhile, CTTH offers full technical services including R&D, quality inspection, certification and worker training. Its core goal is to lift local manufacturers’ product standards and global competitiveness. Tactical Tactics matches Moroccan suppliers with US and Canadian buyers under DDP shipping terms. Founded in 2023, it connects local factories with overseas brokers.
Furthermore, the US remains the world’s top clothing importer, purchasing $83.7 billion apparel in 2024. Canada imported nearly $11 billion garments the same year, ranking among the world’s top 15 apparel buyers. The two markets create massive export space for Morocco’s upgraded textile products.
In addition, textiles & leather is Morocco’s second-largest employment sector, covering 23.7% industrial jobs in 2024. However, the sector’s industrial added value dropped 2.4% to 19.3 billion dirhams last year, the only declining manufacturing segment. Against this pressure, local brands focus on high-value finished goods to recover export growth.
